Our Story

At the age of 17, Adam started in the industry making roller shutters for one of Sydney’s leading roller shutter businesses at the time. During that time, Adam was immersed in all aspects of the factory production line. Showing a keen interest in installation, Adam shifted his focus to the on-site installation of products.

He then moved into sales, marketing, and running an entire team. Throughout his time, Adam gained perspective and experience in all aspects of the roller shutter business.

AdShutters was founded in 2012 after Adam identified gaps in the market. He took his proficiency and worked it into the model at Adshutters which is based on innovation through quality product, expert installation and good old-fashioned service.

Now, 7 years later (and 20 years after Adam’s start in the industry) AdShutters continues to grow and is now made up of the strength of a team of over 7 staff members. Over the years AdShutters has worked on high-end multi-million-dollar homes, large commercial facilities and everything in between.

Our manufacturing premises are in South Western Sydney.

At first I was dead against wanting shutters as I perceived them as being quite ugly however building in a flame zone required us to have fire shutters fitted to all sides of our new home.

Adam took the time to show me a number of options and eventually we matched the frame and track colour to our roof and gutters whilst having the roller curtains in a colour close to our brickwork, the overall finished look to my surprise actually enhanced the houses appearance and even gave the street aspect which I was most concerned with an interesting “character”.

As for quality I took Adam’s advice and went for the top of the line options in particular the SIMU motors as we had all 19 shutters motorised and on a one button master controller.

The SIMU motors are quite and very smooth in operation and the wireless remotes make operation really easy and hassle free, we now use the shutters as much more than just fire protection and like the added security they give when we are not home.
Dropping them at night also greatly improves the thermal insulation of the house.

Adam’s attention to detail has provided a finished job that I am more than happy with and his after sales service is just as good, we had a couple of minor issues with one of the motors which he attended to very quickly.
Adshutters were not the cheapest quote we received but we are extremely pleased that we did go with Adam and that we used the best products available, It has turned a project that I was very negative about into one that I am very pleased with.
